What is Shinchan Endless Runner 3D?
Shinchan Endless Runner 3D is an arcade endless runner set in bright 3D cartoon worlds. In the game's description, you play as Kenta, and you run while Mom closes in behind you. The question the game asks is simple: how far can you run?
You only need one finger. Everything is done with swipes, and runs are short, so it suits a quick break.
Each run takes you through five worlds, one after another:
- Sunny Suburbs
- Sakura Riverbank
- Market Street
- Seaside Boardwalk
- Dreamland
Getting started
There is nothing to set up. The game works fully offline, with no account and no login. Your best score, furthest distance and progress stay on your device.
Before your first run, a few quick things are worth knowing:
- Settings: Sound and haptics can each be switched on or off.
- Wardrobe: You can dress Kenta up here. There are 6 outfits, 5 pups that run beside you and 5 trails. You unlock them with cookies, ranks or Treat Boxes, so you don't need to worry about them on day one.
- Optional videos: You can watch a rewarded video for a bonus, but you never have to.
Then start a run and see how it feels.
How the core mechanic works
The game is all about lanes and timing. These are the controls:
- Swipe left or right to change lanes
- Swipe up to jump
- Swipe down to slide
- Swipe at corners to turn
Mom is always behind you. If you clip an obstacle, she gets closer. If you stumble twice in a row, the run ends.
Corners are the other danger. The game says they come up quickly, and if you miss one, the run is over. The farther you go, the faster it gets, so your reactions matter more as the run goes on.
Along the way, you collect cookies. You spend them in the Shop. Shortcut doors can also send you ahead.
Gadgets: your power-ups
You can pick up five power-up gadgets during a run:
- Balloons
- Super Cape
- Candy Magnet
- Bubble Wand
- Lucky Cat
In the Shop, you can spend your cookies to upgrade each gadget through 5 levels. A higher level makes the gadget last longer on your next run.
Tips to progress
1. Look ahead, not at Kenta. Corners arrive quickly and missing one ends the run. Keep your eyes on the path in front so you have time to swipe.
2. Recover from the first stumble. One mistake only brings Mom closer. Two in a row ends the run. After a hit, focus on a clean stretch before you try anything risky.
3. Stay calm as the speed rises. The game speeds up the farther you go. Small, deliberate swipes are better than frantic ones.
4. Spend cookies on gadgets. Upgrading a gadget makes it last longer on your next run. Pick one you like using and level it up.
5. Use the missions. You have three missions at a time. Finishing all three raises your score multiplier and gives you a Big Treat Box. Every mission also earns a star, and every 5 stars brings a new rank and a Rank Box.
6. Come back daily. The daily challenge lets you build a streak and earn a Small Treat Box. There is also a 7-day daily gift for returning each day.
Treat Boxes are only earned, never sold, and their contents are shown before you open them.
